Profile
Jan Eßwein is an entrepreneur, speaker, executive coach and Germany's most widely read author on the subject of mindfulness. His early books, trainings and media presence also make him a pioneer of the mindfulness movement in Germany.
His curiosity about the impact that a state of maximum mental clarity can have led him to a border experience in 2005: He grabbed his backpack, traveled to a monastery in Nepal and spent half a year there in silence. 14-16 hours he meditated every day, for 175 days – without a break, without contact with the outside world and without talking to anyone. This experience has deeply shaped him; And he shares the insights from it in his lectures and trainings, transferring it to the challenges in companies, leadership and new work.
Today, the professional speaker inspires thousands of people every year for a mindful way of leading, working and living. In workshops and individual coaching sessions, he empowers executives and employees to access their own resources. And as the owner of a holistic physiotherapy practice, he ensures smooth processes and a team that is passionate about their work.
When he's not in teaching or coaching for his customers, he sails around Lake Ammersee (west of Munich) or cooks an original Indian meal.
